About Us

We believe that our first objective in life is to love the Lord our God with all our heart, all our soul, all our mind, and all our stength.

The result of that is we love our neighbor as ourself.  We attempt to show that love in our life.

GO THEREFORE, AND MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL THE NATIONS, BAPTIZING THEM IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
                          MATTHEW 28:19

History

The Church started in the 1860's where meetings were held in a barn near the present location.  Steps were taken in 1870 when the east arm of the Church of the Brethren in Floyd County built a meeting place.  This became the Red Oak Grove Church of the Brethren.

Although the original red oak trees for which the church was named are gone, God's people still meet faithfully in this community of demonstrate the loving kindness of God Almighty.

We still believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible word of God.  It is our hope that we may serve the needs of this community out of the love that God has shown us through the sacrificial gift of his son, Jesus Christ
